Yesterday was one of the longest day of my life. Waiting and waiting for the time to pass until it is my turn.

Being the last batch is a horrible experience. The anxiety of waiting and what is coming next takes stress to a wbole new level.

Because what comes after next can determine whether you pass or fail the whole sem. Combine that with oversaturation of reading the same stuff over and over again from 6.30am to 1.00pm and runny nose, the product is a experience that will stretch and test your patience.

Ever heard of the phrase above? It means a quiet period just before a period of great activity or excitement.

That was the environment in my hostel yesterday before the exam. There were on occassion the sounds of plucking of the guitar by the Indonesian students. Other than that, the hostel is as quiet as a tomb.

Like in every storm, there will be occassion thunder and lighting.

Pray that I will endure this 3 weeks storm. :)

I am having an exam the next morning and here I am blogging (12:49 AM GMT +7). The exam consist of 200 MCQ and will run for 3.5 hours...

August 23, New Phone

While some people change their phone every year, my old phone have never been change since form 1. Scrathc that. I just remembered I change it in form 3 because it spoiled. My phone until recently was a Nokia 1110. Man that phone is an antique but yet a super durable phone. That phone have been dropped by accident numerous time and is till functioning. They don't make phones like that anymore.

So why the sudden need to get a phone? I am going to Indonesia and I figure I will need a better phone. In my old phone, the speaker wasn't very good. I was told to get an iPhone 4 by my mother. The price was not an issue. iPhone was recommended because that phone is a must have tool for doctors as it contain medical refernece books, calculators. But somehow I didn't feel safe walking around with a RM2199 phone inside my pocket.

The way I figure, a medical student doesn't need an iPhone. Besides owning an iPhone will obviously make you an instant target with the neon sign "Rob me. I am loaded".

I was put off by buying an iPhone because Digi said you must take the plan or we won't sell you the phone. Maxis said you must have a number with us. No number with us, we won't sell you the phone. They have a customer that wants to buy the phone but they refuse to do business with me. Below is the total price of the iPhone with the plan.

As you can clearly see, if you use a plan with the iPhone, you are actually paying more for the phone. Many think "Oh, the price of the phone is cheaper if I get a plan" True. But what about the total price that you will pay after 1 year?

The phone that I am going to buy must have the following specs :
i. Able to install medical apps/medical reference
ii. Great battery life (> 1 day)
iii. Minimum a 5MP camera that is able to take good photos.
iv. Good speaker and microphone to ensure both ends are able to hear clearly each other clearly.
v. Have the ability to connect to WiFi.

In short, I was looking at iphone 4 or Android phones.

I decide to choose an Android phone as it is cheaper and the features is similar to the iPhone. Although the medical apps aren't as rich as those found in iTunes for the iPhone, I believe Android phones will one day be on par with iPhones when it comes to medical apps. This is because the Android communtiy is open source. Which means easier for people to develop their apps. There are some medical apps which was design for iPhones are now available on the Android Market for free.

What phone did I choose? After reading up on reviews, I finally settle on HTC Desire S. Below are some pictures of HTC Desire S taken from the HTC site.

Nice right the phone? The phone fits my criteria perfectly.

The only downside is I can't get the gps to function without WiFi or an internet connection.

So how about the price? As the phone is phone of the year, I am guessing the price will be expensive. True enough. This phone is sold only by Maxis form RM1799. I called up all HTC shops and they said they don't sell the phone. What a bummer. Add extra few hundred ringgit, and I can get an iPhone already. After digging around Lowyat Forum, I found this shop in Subang Jaya that sells all kinds of phone.They even sell iPhones without plan at a price of RM2050/contract. They have HTC Desire S in stock.

Of course I was suspicious as the price they offer was low. But upon further reading, I found out that the quite a lot of Lowyat Forum members buy their phone from this shop. They recommend this shop. This shop even courier you the phone if you cannot come and collect it.

The price of HTC Desire S was RM1250. Way way cheaper than what Maxis offer. 1 year warranty by the shop. I pay an addition RM60 for a case with screen protector. The case is a Case Mate Tough. The price of a Case Mate Tough in Malaysia if I am not mistaken is RM69. Although my HTC Desire S is build with a Gorilla Glass (a new type of glass that is scratch resistant, and very durable), it is better to get a screen protector. Case Mate protects my phone in the even my phone drops.

6. Exchange rates (Know the exchange rates even when offline) - Free
7. GpsFix (Helps to make the GPS lock faster) - Free
8. Evernote (To Take notes) - Free
9. Silentboot (Shut the awful sound at boot) - Free
10. Opera Mini (A browser that is faster and use lesser internet traffic than the default browser) - Free

July 12, Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)

As per requested by my friend, Cindy. Sorry that it took so long. Here are your details regarding my last post.

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). That is the degree I am graduating with in 5 years time. When the results for my STPM were out, I knew no way I will qualify for local university for medicine. Local private university require that I have CGPA of 3.0 which I have but there was a catch. They want my CGPA of my science subjects to be 3.0 or 3Bs for science subjects. General paper is not counted. I admit. I mess up my STPM. I have no idea how could I mess up my Bio paper considering that the paper was always my scoring paper. Mistakes happen and I will admit them.

I had only 4 choices.
1. Do a foundation and apply for medicine but there will be no gurantees that I can enter considering the competition is very high. But I have faith.

2. Pray and accept what the local university give me.

3. Apply to Russia. I already qualify. No entrance test nothing.

4. Apply for Indonesia. Apparently, there are entrance test, interview, IQ test and personality test awaiting me.

I don't feel like doing another year of foundation so what did I choose? I could have easily choose option 2 and 3. But I did not. Choosing option 2 and 3 means choosing the easy way and I always beleive that we should choose what is right over what is easy. Naturally, the only choice left is option 4.

Despite allegation that Indonesia and Russia are not good, I did my research. From my reseach, the doctors that graduated from Indonesia are better than their Russians counterpart. International students learning medicine in Russia are not allow any hands-on (practical experience. In Russia, there are 2 classes. One in Russian for the locals and another one in English for international students. The class conducted in Russian is of very high standard while the international class is below par what they tought their locals. But in Indonesia, you are allow how much practical experience you want until you are tired. Of course, if you have a Russian degree, you can practice anywhere in Europe because their degree is fully recognise in Europe.

Further reading on Lowyat forum (pay attention to the posts by memphis), sealed my decision to apply for Indonesia. In addtion, I found out that Indonesian universities are recognised by Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) the same year they recognise University Malaya that is in 1971. If Indoneisan university have entrance exams, interviews, IQ test and personality test, their standard can't be that low right? Russian universities don't even have entrance exam. I was right. Their standard was not low.

I thought that their exam was a push over. I meant how hard can a exam be after STPM right? As far as I know, there are no exams tougher than STPM. How wrong I was. The paper consist of Pre-U questions of Biology,Chemistry, Maths and Physics. The problem with the paper :

1. No calculator allowed. What a bummer. As Malaysian students, we are so use to our calculators. We have been using calculator since Form 1. Asking us not to use calculator is like asking ua to use left hand to write if you are a right handed. Nevertheless, I manage to overcome the obstacle by relearning how to multiply and divide the manual way.

2. No guessing the answers. For each answer you get correct, 4 marks will be awarded. 1 mark will be deducted if given wrong answer is given. How not Malaysian attitude. No "tembaking". Lol.

3, The numbers have too many digits. Not ideal for multiplication or division. Eg. 15.495 x 146.738 Do it like 20 times (different numbers but similar questons), you will go mad as I have mention you have no calculator and you have limited time.

The first university that I applied is Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Believe it or not, that university have higher ranking than our UM. The space allocated was 35 place for 140 students. For this university, there are entrance exam and IQ test. No interview. The questions are tough. Needless to say, I didn't pass their entrance exam.

Upon learning that I didn't pass, it worries me greatly as I had only applied for two Universities. That means I have to made it for the next one. It is do or die. I decided that what I have been doing all along is wrong. Without a solid foundation, no matter how tall the building is built, it will collapse. I went back to the drawing board and reread back all my form 6 notess from Biology, Chemistry to Maths. Focusing more on maths as that is my weakest subject. Strengthening my foundation in whatever time I have left in a month before the entrance exam. It works as after one month, I felt more prepare for the second entrance exam than for the first one.

The second university that I applied to is Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD).

For this university, it have entrance exam, interview and personality test. The personality test is based off a test done in the US. It is Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory. The place allocated are 90 seats for 389 students. Much stiffer than before but I made it. :)

Universitas Padjadjaran is located 700m above sea level and is located 45 minutes away from Bandung. Located far from town, the air will be clean and nice. Form my research, the weather could be like those of Genting Highlands everyday. Nice.

The total cost of my degee is RM170,000 for 5 years. That is only tuition fees. For the first year, hostel is provided. However, once I enter the 2nd year, I will have to look for rooms myself as they only provide hostel to first year university students.

The weird thing about Indonesia is whoever who enters the country, be it tourist or students, upon exiting the country, one is require to pay tax of approxiamtely RM350. But if I have letter from the student affair department, the tax is waived. I will be flying off this Septmeber.

As I already have a place, I am going to give up my local university place for those who really need it this Friday. All the best my frineds!

P.S. I could not have done it without my friend Miss X which bombed me with questions which are relevant a few days before the entrance exam. Others may see it as criticism but for me, those questions that she asked and words that were spoken are words of wisdom and inspiration. And I intend to let it be my inspiration when I am over there. For that, I thank you. You have been a good friend.

June 25, The Beginning Of An End

After months of agonising turbulence and struggles, it finally came to end. I don't know what I will do if it didn't end. I was getting pretty sick and tired of it. Someone once told me, if you are sick and tired of doing that thing, it means that you are one with it. You have already master it. While some spent their free time working, I spent my free time rereading my form 6 notes. Crazy right? I was never more ready for any exam in the past few months. Yet somehow, the entrance exam was still tough. It was no pushover. There were interviews and personoality test. I am glad I make it through. There ware times when I fell but I force myself to get up and continue pushing on. Is it the end? No. It is just the beginning of difficult times. All this studying have made me tired. I think I will catch a nap as soon as I finish writing this.

March 13, Dye/Highlight

Recently, I have seen many of my friends especially girls highlight their hair. Highlighting/dying hair requires application of chemicals to the hair. This is a short biology class for those who don't know a little fact about hair. Hair is actually a type protein, namely keratin. Protein are highly sensitive to chemicals. Any addition of chemicals may cause it to change its conformation (structure). So highlighting one's hair, is adding chemicals to it. Even if the hair stylist said "Oh, don't worry. It won't harm your hair." , I would like to think twice before EVER highlighting my hair. What about shampoo? Some might argue. Shampoo is another story as that cannot be avoided. Highlighting/dying is CAN be avoided.

Some girls are actually quite pretty. I won't denied that. Dying/Highlighting their hair not only made them prettier actually makes them less pretty in my opinion. Call my old fashion but I prefer girls who don't highlight/dye their hair.If you are born with black hair, so be it. Why do you even want to change it? Why do you want to be a Caucasian? I am proud of my hair and its colour unlike some people. =) If you are trying to be different or unique or simply trying to stand out, well it is failing. A fact which many do not know, the under nourish people in Africa have brown hair; a sign that a person is unhealthy. So, next time you think about dying/highlighting your hair, think again. Do you want to look like the unhealthy African people?

The worse thing is some aunties are also doing it. Some even dye their hair red. Guess they want to be a redhead. It disgust me. Some mid 40's aunties look completely hideous with red hair! Maybe they have no where to throw their money. It isn't cheap to highlight/dye one's hair and then later they complain they have no money for daily uses. How ironic. They might as well put the money to dye/highlight and to maintain that colour to good use by donating to charities.

PS. For those who want to know how I did for STPM, it was bad. I just got a CGPA of 3.00. Sad right? Now all I can hope is pray.

Feb 18, Animals' RULES

People said that you if you can drive in Asia, you can survive driving anywhere on this planet. Malaysian drivers are infamously known as notorious drivers. You can say one of the worse in the region. Beating red lights, cutting queues on the emergency lane, driving like their house is on fire and they are rushing home to rescue their family or just simply stopping/turning without any indication. Come on, where is the surprise if indications are given? After all, we do love surprises don't we?

However for most notorious drivers which have the affinity to break just about every rule in the book, there is still one rule most of them obey. The ONE SINGLE RULE that rules the road; Animal's RULES.

The two golden rules which state all :

"1. Animals always have the right of the way"

"2. If the animal is wrong, see rule 1."

How convenient ! lol

But it holds true. Whenever an animal crosses the road, the driver will sway to avoid hitting the animal even if it means killing themselves in the process.

Feb 2, Epic Failure of Malaysia IT Fair 2011

There was a Malaysia IT Fair organised by Kaspersky Malaysia which runs from 28 Jan 2011 to 30 Jan 2011 at Midvalley last week. This fair should not be confused with the normal computer fair we all know i.e. PC Fair (the original fair) which is organised by PIKOM, the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry, Malaysia. The real and original PIKOM PC Fair will not be held until April the 15 at KLCC.

Many of my friends ask me when will the PC Fair be held since I will be going with them. I know of this fair (Malaysia IT Fair) since December but I told them it will be held in April. The reason I told them this was I have never heard of this fair before. Some of my friends found out about this fair and asked me, I told them don't go as this is not the original PIKOM PC Fair and the deals all seems fishy. at first glance. I hope they listened to me.

Last Saturday 29 January 2011, I needed to buy some computer stuff for my friends and my father needed some computer stuff as well. We wanted to check out this Malaysia IT Fair and Lowyat as my father thought it was the fair was the PIKOM fair. Before our departure, I decide to read up some of the comments posted by visitors to Malaysia IT Fair at Lowyat Forum just to check is it worth going or not. Boy was I glad I read those comments.

These are some of the comments posted in Lowyat forum that put me off from visiting the IT Fair:

"If you are shopping for Jackie Chan/Lee Chong Wei antivirus (Kaspersky), you should head there as they are selling jackie chan anti virus all the way till you exit. It is Kaspersky Fair instead of IT Fair."

"They sell Seagate HDD 500GB for RM99 but Seagate have a bad reputation according to one user at Lowyat Forum."

"just head to lowyat..
dont waste ur time at the malaysia IT fair..."

"Lousy fair. Don't waste time

Jan 18, Walk For Health

Some might say that inventions were the fruits of men's laziness. How true indeed. The washing machine wouldn't be invented if the men didn't feel lazy washing their clothes nor would the vacuum cleaner.

The thing about invention is that we tend to take some things for granted. Sometimes a little too much. Take for the example our legs. Before the invention of horse carriage or other form of transportation, humans tend to walk from one place to another.

It is all right to drive or take a plane to your destination IF it is very far. But then, some people would drive to the morning or night market even though the market is located less than a few clicks from their house or less than a hundred metres from their house and they can't even walk to the market! How lazy.

In my opinion, walking to the market is faster than driving. This is because one need to find a parking space and a finding a parking space is a bit hard at the market area. In addition, walking helps to burn calories. However little you walk, there will still be some calories burned. With today's lifestyle where we put in more calories than we put out, every little calories lost counts.

Hence, I feel that we all should walk more instead of driving to nearby areas. I made it a point to walk whenever I can. How about you? walk for health!

Jan 6, A Name

Aloha! It have been a very long time. A very long time indeed since I last touch my blog. The Christmas wishes was schedule a long time ago.

So what is in a name?

A name is what makes a person unique as it is their identity. In the event that there is another person some where in the world with the same name as you, you are still unique as that person isn't you!

But the sad thing is from my observation, people nowadays especially the Chinese of Malaysia (I don't know about other people in other part of the world or other races) have incorporated the use of an English name into their name which originally do not have an English name. Names like Christine, Mandy, Justin and many others.

Perhaps they see it as glamorous to have an English name? I for one think it is unnecessary and uncalled for. Be PROUD of who you are and your name! I have never add an English name to my original name. The only time I ever used an English name is when I applied for a license to a program online through some promotion. Of course the name used is fake like John Brown, Paul. My reasons, the promotion is valid for people of England and other European countries. So naturally and logacally, you will need to use an English name to obtain those licenses.

I would like to pose one question to anyone reading this, what is in a name?

There is an upcoming event where you have to pay to attend. Being greedy people with even more greedy intention, they tried to squeeze out as much money out of everyone using their powers.

The usual, threatening people who don't pay up like me with all sorts of reasons. Come on, it is getting stale. Think I will be intimidated? Think again! It is not about the cash although a small part is still it but it is about getting your priorities straight.With STPM round the corner, think I will be stupid to waste my time time there? I'm sorry. My priorities is STPM first.

What irk me most is the fact that they are committing daylight robbery with the amount they charge for their own personal gain. If you want to condemn me for all eternally for not attending that event, so be it. Condemning someone is a sin in any religion. I am sure of it. So if you want to bear the mark of your action by condemning me, be my guest.

Do I need to show my sincerity and appreciation to you? I don't. You don't have the right to my life. I know when to show my appreciation. Thank you very much. To hell with it, you are nothing more than a ghost of yesteryear's. An experience I wished I could just erase from my memory.

You think we are important? Come on. Don't be a hypocrite. You and I both know the truth. We are just the "neglected" batch of people in your eyes whom you can easily milked us for our cash like a cash cow and manipulate us so that we will do your bidding. With this perception, you dare to ask us to show appreciation to you? You mark my words. The "neglected" batch us are a thousand times better than any of you cause we been through more than what hell have to offer. Pardon my metaphor.

The following conditions should be met if you want my attendance :
1. Can you guarantee that my results will be good if I attend that event? If yes, I won't mind.
2. Reduce the charge. No way I am going to go if that thing is so expensive. It is not even worth it. I can put the money to good use like keeping it in the bank. It might be small, but hey because of all this small money, I have more than what normal teenagers have in their account.

I know one thing, whatever it is, even if I am forced to pay, I am still not going. Time is running as if someone turn the hands of the clock extra fast. With time so precious, I definitely can't waste any more seconds of it.

Lastly, I would like to thank my friend for teaching me to be "cold" and "heartless".

PS To anyone who thinks I am condemning them, I was just telling the truth and the truth always hurts. Did I condemn them to a bad future or to have bad luck for all eternally? You are smart. You decide.

The wind was chilly but at the same time pleasant on the skin. It felt very much like the wind in the mounatin valleys.

The water were like those of the water from the springs of the mountain.

Today's weather was simply magnificent.

August 30, Right Choice In School

Today, I am glad I made the right choice not to skip school. It was so tempting to just follow my classmates out of the school just before sound of the morning bell. But something make me decide to stay in school. And I am glad I did. Sometimes, we have to choose between what is right and what is easy. I chose what is right.

How I wish my days in school is like this everyday. No teachers entering and we are free to do our own revision (I am the only student in my class). You can walk to the staff room anytime you like to ask the teachers question. Literally, you are a freeman. A freeman to do everything and anything you want. No pesky people stopping you to ask where are you going.

Today was a bliss. Not only was I "free" to wander around the school, I got some work done which I am sure couldn't be done if I stayed at home. Had a chat with some friends, disturb some teacher with some questions and the best part of all, I pick up a new skill on how to use my calculator to do Matrix questions. Thanks Mr Chan!

The only drawback was there are no music. Well the world is not perfect and we can't have everything. Seeing that I have one complete day to myself, I think that is more than necessary.

Maybe he is right. We are all grown up already. You have to do what you think is right. You can't have teachers pushing us around like some little kids anymore already can you? You got to think for yourself. One thing is sure, after today, you might see more of me in school. Surprisingly...

I heard someone told the above quote to a group of people. What rubbish! To be a great leader, you DO NOT NEED to let go your friends. A great leader is one which is respected by everyone, young or old. A great leader which do not have friends is a leader which rule over his people with an iron fist. Such a leader is not a leader, rather a dictator. Forcing someone to obey your evey orders is not the way. It does not command respect from people.

Respect is earned not given. To be respected, you should be one with the people. Listen to their needs. Be flexxible like water. Only then, can you earned respect from them. But right now, you DO NOT DESERVE a single respect from anyone especially what you have done.

Her words made me remembered this quote;

"A wise man speaks because he has something to say; a fool because he has to say something. "

Clearly, she is a fool in one way or the other.

August 20, Shocking Greetings

On Thursday, 19/8/2010, where everything seems normal, I met She Who Must Not Be Named. So I did the right thing, wish her a Good Morning. This is how it goes :

Me : Selamat pagi.

Now, what will you expect from most teachers? Most of them will give you a nod as acknowledgement or smile. Some will pretend you didn't exist. How very rude of them. Guess what happen next? You won't expect this coming.

She : Good Morning Aswin. How are you?

I was shocked! I never saw that coming.

Me : [Gaping like a goldfish due to shock and disbeleve. Ok, I exaggerate on that. But I did get a shock. I recover myself quickly and replied ok in a small voice]

How did she know me? OMG! If I am not mistaken, she knows me from the time I asked her help. How can see don't know me? An ex student of the school which came bursting into her room and start complaining about her teachers and requesting her help at the same time. Must be some lasting impression I made.

Whatever it is, looks like I have to watch my step from now on.

August 16, One of The Worse

In my 12 schooling years, I have met all type of people. Some are bad, some are good. I once met someone who is kiasu, (I won't mention names here but if you are here long enough, you will know who am I referring to). I thought that person was bad. But that was not the worse I have seen. Remember my previous post on August 13, Gullible and naive ?

Well guess what? That person is worse than worse. So kiasu, so stingy, a "good liar' and lastly what a story teller you are. If you did something wrong, don't try to push the blame to others. Stand your grounds and accept whatever punishment you deserve. Because of your selfish attitude where you want people to bow down to your schedule (like you are the only one in the world who is important), we can't have class. Looks like I have yet to see all things in life. Like I said before, life is like a teacher. There are lots of things in life I have yet to learn.

One thing I can say is I believe that whatever actions that we take today, there will be consequences. Whether the consequences will come back and haunt us or the other way around, but there will definitely be some form of consequences.

As Newton once said ; "To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction".

So only time can tell when that action will happen. When that time happen, I hope you can repent as that is the only humane left in you.

You told me a lie. It ceratinly would have "earned" an Oscar, an Oscar for the worse lie that is.

It was so crude and improper. And you expect me to swallow that crude lie? Sorry to disappoint you. I am no longer that gullible and naive boy I used to be. Life have thought me many things. It was and is still is like a teacher to me.

Maybe it is because of your upbringing or maybe it is because you are just like that, afraid to accepting defeat. You are not very good at lying. In addition you attempt to show off with what little general knowledge you have. I am sorry. But I do know more than you. So your showing off did not manage to impress me.

I just hate liers and pretenders. Period.

I may not be the 'perfect' human being but I accept my mistakes and defeats unlike you.

On the bright side, I feel so sorry for you that you have to stoop so low just to portray the 'perfect' human being image for the public to see.

June 22. Idiotic Neighbour

I have this neighbour who is filthy rich. In front of my house, there is a rows of nice rain trees overlooking the field making the area remain me of the magnificient Taiping Lake Gardens. Not too long ago (about 1 year ago), What this neighbour did was kill one tree (Burn rubbish at its roots everyday until it died. When it died, they stop burning rubbish) because it was blocking its main door. They renovated their house to have 2 very huge and ugly pillars place in front of their house. (According to Feng Shui, it is good as it will give them finacial stability). Keep in mind that the trees are all planted in the field.

Then recently, I suspected that they consulted their also idiotic Feng Shui Master, and he told them having a tree in front of the house is bad. Technically, the tree was not directly in front of their house. It was more towards the other people's house. But what this treehater neighbour did was start chopping the tree, removing the bark and start burning again at its roots. STUPID! IDIOTIC! people. All because they want to get richer (based on Feng Shui). It is no wonder that our Earth gets hotter because of this kind of people.

Whatever it is, the tree is Public Property! You do not have the rights to go around killing trees. There goes the poor tree.

I just wish the tree will fall on their house!

June 20, The Last Ray of Freedom

As I sit here savouring the last ray of the beautiful and magnificent sunset, it struck me that I am also savouring my last moment of freedom. How beautiful is freedom and I didn’t take the time to appreciate it. *sigh* Human beings tend not to appreciate things until they are about to lose it. That is what I am feeling this moment as I am penning down my thoughts. The sun’s rays are like the water of freedom that are in my hands. The more I try to keep it, the more it is slipping from my fingers.

Why is that so? Starting tomorrow, 21st June 2010, the second semester of one of the most challenging exams is about to begin. I am about to have more classes than I have in semester one or probably in my entire life. There will be hardly room to breathe or move. But as people say, the show must go on. Somehow, I have to learn to adept and move on.

I shall saviour my last final moments until the warm and beautiful sun sets and embark on a cold, dark and uncertain journey alone…

My verdict on Kaspeersky Internet Security 2011 (KIS 2011) :
It is faster and feels lighter than Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 (KIS 2010). Although KIS 2011 consumes more RAM than KIS 2010 it is still noticeability lighter.

I might change to ESET NOD32 once my license expire as I have heard good stuff about NOD32.

I might want to see how things go first. Why? Well, you can say, I keep my eyes out for good products.

June 6, Salt Analysis

Last Friday, 4/6/2010 mark the end of the STPM salt analysis practical. We had to returned the test tubes. No more foul smelling gases. No more the feeling of being a scientist mixing chemicals together wondering which chemicals may blow up the school. Ahaha...

or the wonderful colours of the precipitate.

Awwwwwwh.

Salt analysis have tought me how to identify salts. Under Mrs Koh's guidance, I learned how to differentiate the difference between the test for gas and anion (Her sarcasm tought me that. I leant the hard way but it was worth it). Some of the confirmatory tests for cations and anions are now stuck in my head. Hehehe...

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the entire ordeal. I see it (playing with chemicals) as a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am glad I was given the chance to participate in STPM level salt analysis.

PS I did quite well for the two practical. :) (Hopefully)

Some company really have no brains. Regular visitors of my blog would have notice my post on the Office 2010 have been removed. This was due to an infringement of some copyright act. You don't need a genius to figure out who is behind it.

Firstly, the people behind it are brainless worms. I didn't even post any links to the download location. So what copyright infringe did I violate? Maybe it is because it is not available to the public. So you are not suppose to post about it. Ok. I am fine with it. That is the golden rule. Never post the download location.

Secondly, I didn't say where I get it from. A simple google search will bring you lots of download location. Again, I am not going to mention it. In case I "violate any copyright act again". pffft

Thirdly, my blog is a non-profit blog. You can see I don't add any advertisment to earn revenue. So this blog is a solely personal blog. Yeah, maybe they target people who writes on personal blog. Period.

Fourthly, my blog is being recognised! It is not eveyday we receive a copyright infringement do you? lol.

Maybe I better write my own diary. That way, no copyright infringement. Hahaha.

Today post is going to be a tribute to my friend, Vicraman. He was the only the other guy besides me in U6 Cergas. He was one amazing guy. His appearances may fool you but in fact he is a nice guy. From my few months of knowing him, he is not stingy in sharing knowledge. Heck, my form 6 friends I know in my school aren't stingy people. That is what make them one of a kind. To be honest, he was like my old friend of form 3 which stood by me until we parted ways after form 5. That friend whom I am refering to is Viswan. Both have similar characteristics. And the class now is totally differet without him. He is leaving us because he obtained a schlarship to do medicine in Cuba like Darren.

He told us once that he have a blog. But I didn't go looking for it as the Mid-Year was around the corner. he didn't give us a link to his blog. I meant he mentioned it in the passing.

I still didn't go looking for his blog even though Mid-Year is now over. But something he said yesterday to one of my friend prompted me to search for him. He told my friend he didn't have a blog. What lies. The cat is already out of the bag and yet he denied having a blog.

So there I went googling for his blog. Man, it wasn't even difficult. Why? I assume he will be using his name, Vicraman and he will be writing on blogspot as his best friend writes on blogspot and I write on blogspot as well.

This was what I googled : "vicraman blogspot" without the quotes.

How do I know that is him?
1. His picture. Strike One!

2. His name in his profile, Dr.Vicraman which completely gave him away. Strike Two!
3. He follows my blog as well as Pn Rabiah's. (Why would a complete stranger follow these two blogs?) Strike Three!

May 7, An Old Flame.

Why did I suddenly thought about her. Why? I thought I was over her many moons ago. Why did I think of her now? And then I thought, why didn’t I fight for her?
I suddenly felt emotional

Of course I did fight for her, albeit weakly. I did try. But I didn’t ask her for the truth straight-forwardly. I guess I was afraid of rejection. I was afraid to hear something like; “I don’t miss you at all”. I was overcome by my own pride too. I thought, why should I continuously make the effort when she doesn’t give a damn. I thought, I deserve better than her, there’s tonnes of better people out there. And I thought about all these things, and managed to keep it aside and actually believe I am over her. But she had to leave deep scars which will never heal like normal scars tend to do. My life will never be the same again since knowwing you.

Relationships end for so many reasons. And I do want to end this, whatever this is. But I find that I am unable to do so when I still do not know what went wrong. Oddly, so much unhappiness is being channeled into so much courage. Even if it is outright rejection, I can live with it. I will be much more satisfied if I am rejected because of something like I am not fun to hang out with or I don't know the way to sweeten your life than letting it just fall apart just like that. Now everytime I want to talk shit about her, I wonder whether I am being unfair to her because maybe she has a good reason. YOU SEE it is so difficult to be fair to yourself and others sometimes. I cannot judge if I am actually in love or not at this point, it’s too soon to tell. But so many people fall out of love all the time, and at least I will never wonder ever again about us if I push aside my ego and ‘face’ for a while.

For those who doesn't know who this is, this is the main villain of the popular Heroes show. In season 2, he lost his powers and gain them back at the end of season 2.

Similarly, Mr Chan was in a strange state. He was so moody, quiet and unshaven. The usual Chan which was jovial and clean chaven was missing after the March holidays. Refusing to divulged what had happen to him, one can only guess.

All of a sudden, two weeks ago, the "new" Chan returned to himself and proclaim that

April 21, MUET Pandemic

A MUET epidemic is sweeping the nations especially among the six-formers. Some are experiencing hysteria. Many are seen making preparations. What about me? I am not even in the affected by it. In my opinion, this MUET epidemic is blown out of proportion. I tend to see things in 180° angle. As for me, I feel that MUET ia just like your normal everyday exam. So for me, MUET is just MUET or just another English test. No big. I am not bragging that my English is superb. But hey, there are bigger things to worry like STPM. Only time can tell whether I will be affected by the pandemic as MUET approaches. Again, MUET is too exaggerated by some people. Period.

April 16, A Near Miss

I had a near miss this morning in school.

I nearly knock down a primary kid crossing the road. I was driving at a speed of less than 30 km/h when suddenlly, a kid just dash out from his parents' car.

Thank goodness my reflex was fast. I stepped on the brakes immediately. I don't even want to think what happen if I hit that kid or if I have went faster than 30 km/h...

If it was not for Counter Strike (CS), I am sure my reflex will be slower. This is because when playing CS, it helps you to think on the spot. You are required to use both hand and eye coordination and reflex to stay alive in the game.

Today have taught me a valuable lesson. Always travel less than 30 km/h in a school area.

People usually download Windows Live Essentials to install the Windows Live Messenger (WLM). The file download from Windows Live official page is of 1.09MB. To install WLM, one must have internet connection as the installer is download from the web into your computer.

Windows Live Essentials also come with other software which are mostly junk. For Windows 7 user, it is recommended to install in windows Live Movie Maker as Microsoft have remove Windows Movie Maker.

But what most people don't realise that there is a offline installation file do exist. Why do I need a offline installation file you may ask? The answer is really simple :
a) For someone who is constantly installaing Windows Live components into computers (i.e. me) it is good to have the entire set at your hand.
b) It saves your time. You can install straight away and don't need to wait for it to download again if you ever send the computer to the shop.
c) If you want to install Windows Live Movie Maker on a friend's computer which have no internet access, it is pretty useful useful too.

So how are you going to get the offline version? There are 2 ways :

METHOD 1

1. Go to http://download.live.com/
2. Click Download

3. DO NOT DOWNLOAD that file. That file is the web-based installer.
4. After that, you will be brought to another page.
5. Now click "Try again"

6. This time, download this file as this is the file you want. It is 134 MB in size.

METHOD 2

You can download from the following mirrors.
1. Microsoft Mirror [DIRECT DOWNLOAD]
2. Download here.

Make sure the hash files match the ones I posted below.

April 12, Working With Windows 7 64-bit

Last Saturday, I was given the chance to work with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit by Alexis.

This was the first time I have worked with 64-bit system. All this time, I hane only worked with 32-bit system.

Needless to say, I can't maximise the potential of all my software in my pendrive.

This is because my pendrive programs are all suited for 32-bit system. But there are a few which could function. =)

I would like to apologize to Alexis that I didn't really turn your computer awesome. :(

About the backup thingy, I am rather scared to partition a hard disk because you have only one partition. Since you are using Sandboxie, I am sure you will be okay. Please practise safe browsing and common sense all the time on the internet and I am sure you will be okay.

March 21, The Day Bitdefender Went Berserk

Yesterday, BitDefender users were in for a shock of their life. For those who do not know, BitDefender is one one of the popular security vendor in the world based in Romania providing their renown Antivirus, Internet Security and Total Security products.

BitDefender have gone bersek and apparently quarantine (depend on what the user set it to do on detection) most clean windows files and Itself in the process. It detect most windows files and itself as Trojan.FakeAlert.5. (It detected itself as a threat. ROFL)

This was due to a update problem. The bad detection have rendered the system useless. Really bad news for Bitdefender users. . It only affect users of 64-bit windows. Thanks goodness because the majority of us are 32-bit users. Bitdefender is still working on a fix at the time of this post.

The last time this kind of thing happen, it happen to avast! before the lauch of their version 5. Comparing avast! problem with Bitdefender's fiasco I will say avast! mess was minute compare to BitDefender's fiasco.

This not only affect BitDefender's users but other vendors like G-Data, BullGuard and F-Secure which uses BitDefender's engine. So far, only Bitdefender's users and BullGuard's users are affected. G-Data and F-Secure usually only provide updates on Saturday morning, and that is what probably saved them.

This kind of thing have never happen to Avira before and I hope it will never will. I am a user of Avira Antivir Personal and avast! Free Antivirus v5 too for those who do not know.

It was really smart of me to encrypt my pictures. Now I have forgotten the password. It is like putting your money in the safe and forgetting the password.

I'm really smart right?

Now, that will give me some work to do after STPM to figure out what password I use. The worst thing was,Pheng Chuen told me he deleted those files from his computer already. That means I am all alone. Me and the encrypted files. =_="

By the way, the program I use to encrypt my pictures is called AxCrypt. One of the best in the computer world.

I earn my first cash through the hard way, that is by working for it.

It is not much.

Definitly not in US Dollar. Haha...

It is only RM10.

But still it is my first earned cash. I earn it by reformatting my friend's PC and install in all the necessary stuff. Lol.

Anyway, what I charge is way below the market price (RM50-market price) so why not? Both side is happy. He got a new computer, I got my cash. Lol.

As January dies and February is waiting to take its place, my life is so hectic. I can't barely breath. No thanks to the stupid R&D which the ministry force all form 6 to stay back after school. Because of that damn thing, I come home like a zombie. Never before have the bed look so inviting. I just wish that I could flop down and doze until the next morning. If only life was as simple as that...

Today was the day I saw a very nice side of Mrs K. Now I understand why Miss Meow Meow a.k.a. Alexis likes her. She is a very kind lady. Ahaha.

As February draws near, so does my test in school. I got approximately 3 test coming up next week. GOSH. In additon, STPM is like 1 month closer now. OMG. OMG. OMG. At the same time, my freedom is also one month closer. Hehe...

Chinese New Year is just like 2 weeks away! Yippeee. But after that, STPM will seem a lot closer compare to when view from this side, 29 January 2010.

Should I say they are lucky or unlucky for having her? I will say they should be lucky. I never get teacher like her before during my time. So those form 4s, appreciate her. It is not everyday you get someone like her.

To those form 4 students who happen to read this post which I highly doubt, put on your best behaviour. Don't mess with her. Hand in her work on time. Do her work, no doing other work except chemistry during her time, no talking in her class until form 5. Hehe... Oh, before I forget, better work on your practicals. In a matter of hours, it will be goodbye 2009 and hello 2010. It seems only yesterday that we are entering 2008. Time indeed flies. 2009 have indeed been one hell of a dramatic year for me. I am not going to comment about as somethings I rather it remain private.

So what am I writing here anyway seeing that I am not going to do any reflecting of 2009? In my honest opinion, celebrating New Year is over exaggerating and blown our of proportions. As I am writing this, I am very well aware that some my friends are having count downs. I would like to ask this question;

WHAT FOR?!!

To me New Year day is just like any other day. Nothing special. Just in case you are wondering, do I celebrate New Year? The truth is I never see the need to usher in the New Year with mega-big celebration.

I admit that the fireworks are spectacular. But have you seen the product of combustion when the fireworks explode? The amount of smoke? I am not an environmentalist but polluting our Earth just for what 10 minutes of colours, is it worth it? You ask yourself that.

Before signing off, to all lower 6, congratulations on being "promoted" to upper 6. Now the real work begins. No more slacking, no more excuses and etc. *sigh* (Nevermind. Bear with it! Few months. After that, your life will be easy sailing. :) )

Celebrating New Year is exaggerating and blown our of proportions. Someone care to enlighten me why some crazy nutcase out there still wish to celebrate New Year? ;)

Norton claims that nothing comes close to Norton whether it is a competitor product or threat. I beg to differ as it is totally rubbish. It might be true to some extend especially the recently completed AV-Comparatives Dynamic Test, both NIS 2010 and KIS 2010 grab the first place. Too bad Norton have to share the top spot with Kaspersky. I really didn't expect that of Norton.

However having tried NIS 2010, I wasn't very please with it. Let me reveal a little test I did. During scanning, NIS 2010 took a wooping ~250+mb of RAM! That is a lot! Not only that. It couldn't detect the 2 url with drive-by-download. In addition, Norton likes to take its own action (deleting so-call threats without asking user permission) but I do not like my security to take its own action!

I finally had the chance to watch 2012 and I must say, I am impress.

People were right about the show being nice. But it is also kind of sad that million of people perish just like that especially a young scientist. I won't reveal anything for those for haven't catch it yet.

Special effects are superb.

Storyline quite good.

This shows clearly shows the selfish side of human beings to save themselvs. But amidst the dark side of human beings, the movie also portray the good side of human beings.

Some people may not like the show as each and everyone have us have differnt cups of tea.

In a nut shell and in my opinion, if you haven't watch it yet, it is worth your every penny going to the cinema to catch "The-End-of-The-World"

It have been a long time since I touch this area. Let us get started on my post shall we?

Reasons. Everyone have reasons and I have mine too. To think that I see you as a friend at the beginning of the year. But now, I am having second thoughts. I hate your attention seeking attitude. Your "nice friendship" was nothing but "nice". To me, now you are just another distant memory. A memory I wish I can forego.

People were right about you. I shall say no more here. So let it be gone.

Well, well, well. I am indeed surprise. Surprise that you treated me this way. Surprise that I did nothing to you and in fact, I helped you a bit and this is how you treated me this way. Oh well. Surprises are nothing different to me now. Always expect the unexpected!

I must admit that I was fascinated by the dissection by Mr Mano on Friday. Due to a request by a girl on Tuesday, Mr Mano showed us how to dissect and preserve the insect after our class on Friday (yesterday). It was interesting. Thansk sir!

It have been nearly a year since I and him went out on an outing. I am glad we could do that today. Pheng Chuen and me "skip" school and went for Graduation Day. No, we are not graduating. But we will be the one going up the stage next year. We went there as the school photographer. The school camera sucks big time. It is time to change it. How can one use a camera which feeds on 4x AA batteries? In additinon to that, the camera keep showing battery depleted. Great, running low on batteries during important function. Luckily he brought his own camera. I brought my own batteries as well but eeven with that, the stupid school camera I am using still shows battery depleted.

Had some great shots. Will upload it when I get those pictures.

The food quite tasty maybe because I was hungry and have nothing for breakfast except a cup of milo. The food was rather oily. I had to down what food they gave. Pheng Chuen decided to skip the food as it was spicy.

Came back home so tired with legs like jelly. lol.

But it was great being a photographer as you have unlimited access. No one will boo you for going in front. That is one great stuff. Haha...

School was damn quiet and peaceful and no teachers as all form 6 teachers and most of the teachers went for the ceremony. Most lower 6 students decided to skip school today or should I say "overslept"?

Vic, you should have went as you can't get enough of that someone in school right?

Next week Friday got another function also at Presscout and this time I might be going for it but now as a photographer but as a guest. The event is some Malam Koko. I am in the dark on why I am being invited. It is not as if like I won a gold medal in the Olympics for Malaysia.

I am still confused...

For the next few hours, IT'S MATHS TIME! After making that blundder, I can't fail maths again. Not after what Mr Prasad did. Gave us 2 DAYS OF EXTRA CLASSES BERTURUT-TURUT. I can't fail him. I enjoyed his class. Wish got more.

Oh well, from now until monday, is all on my own. Bergantung pada diri sendiri.

Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival or better known as Mooncake Festival. On this day, it is said the moon is at its biggest. Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8 lunar month in the Chinese calender.

On this day, people stay up to gaze at the moon while drinking tea and eating moon cakes. Children will play with lanterns and lanterns will be hung up for decoration.

On a daily basis, I keep hearing "bombs" going off. It is like we are living in a warzone.

But in actual fact, the "bombs" are actually firecrackers with a big "BANG".

Last time (when I was in form 1-5), firecrackers were only let go on the last day of school (before a holiday) or after an examination.

Now, these miniature explosions were set off a minimum of 5 times a day in school.

They are real idiots. People with weak heart will die of heart attack you know?! Who is going to be responsible for their deaths then?

They are also burning their hard earn parent's money as firecrackers don't come cheap.

It is really a disgrace to the school and prefectorial board as when they do spot check for 2 consecutive days, they found no firecrackres. Yet after the spot check, it's "PARTY TIME" ! Lol.

The worse one was yesterday. They gather all the forms (3-5) to the grounds until recess to do a spot check. For a while there is peace and quiet. But after that is back to warzone. *sigh* i must live with the new environment.

On the brighter side, Chinese New Year came early. Everyday is like Chinese New Year. lol.

September 30, The Day Malaysia Shook Again!

At approximately GMT +8 at 1820 hours, tremors were felt in several parts of Malaysia and Singapore. It was due to an eartquake which struck off the city of Padang off the coast of southern Sumatra.

It was a powerful earthquake as it measure 7.9 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the quake was about 481km southwest of Kuala Lumpur. Rather near if you ask me. Is like from here to Penang. Gosh!

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre first issued a tsunami alert for Malaysia (George Town and Port Dickson specifically), Indonesia, India and Thailand, but cancelled it at about 7.31pm.

Where was I at the time of the incident? I was out and I felt the tremors. I was like what? Why is the building shaking or am I hallucinating? Then it struck me. Is an earthquake. Is not everyday you get to feel one. I count myself lucky as this is my second feeling of an earthquake. The first was March 28 2005.

At least now I know I can have a peace of mind. Too bad I can't keep Kaspersky Antivirus 2010.

September 13, A Sense Of "Newness"

All of us enjoy the feeling of a new computer whether is a new laptop or desktop. However this happiness is short liveas Windows will start to slow down, errors keep popping out and etc. We will soon hate our computers until the extend of we wish we could smash it

or we will just feel like pull out our hair figuring out how to solve the consistent computer problems.

Although there are system optimization softwares out there both paid and free, but the only cure for system slowdown and errors is reformatting it. Now, most of us will just pay the shop to have our computer reformat as we don't know how or just bear with it until we can get a new computer and the process is repeated.

I am in the category of let the shop reformat whenever my computer crash. However, yesterday, I found a program that could backup all my drivers (the program which give you your sound and etc...) and since I have nothing to lose, I gave it a shot. Voila, reformatted done correctly. After that, just double click on the executable file which contain my drivers and all is back to normal.

So the shop will never see a customer again as from now on, I am doing all the reformat myself.
I save RM50 by not sending to the shop.

I just save myself RM50! Yay!

However, now I know reformatting is a tedious job. It took me ~14 hours (including meal time and sleeping time) to install my programs and update it to its latest version. Whew.

It was at least better than sending to the shop where I have to fork out RM50 to reformat and they throw in junk. Now, I am in control of what I put in. That way, I get a "new and clean" system.

In addition, the shop do not install in Genuine Windows compare to what I did. If I were to send my computer to the shop, they would have given my an ungenuine Windows. If I were to install it myself, my Windows is 100% genuine. All that for free.

I have decided that I am going to reformat my computer every 2 years.

I will make a review of that program soon if I have the time.

This post was type on my "new" computer. Hehehe...

September 11, AVG sucks! Alternatives To AVG

Almost anyone who have a computer knows of AVG or even heard about it. There is no doubt about it. AVG is the most popular antivirus. A search on Google with the word "free antivirus" will have AVG topped the list.

Why is it AVG that is so popular? AVG was light weight, had high detection rates and does its job well. That was back when AVG was in the good version 7.5.

But now, AVG is living off a well known name or should I say dying off a name.

I admit I am anti AVG. And this post is to bash AVG.

The other day, I was looking at the comments in Download.com about AVG, I was laughing my head off as some people was saying is the best antivirus, AVG does its job and etc. All praising it. Whenever someone criticize it, there is this prson who defend AVG like his life depends on it. Obviously these people are pure noobs. I don't admit I know a lot about computers but what I know is AVG sucks big time.

The following are the reasons why I hate/anti AVG :
1. Bad detection rates.
Last time I used AVG, 40+ trojans bypass AVG. Amazing isn't it AVG?
2. Unable to remove viruses
I had this virus last time in my pendrive, AVG put quarantine. I plug back the pendrive and scan, it came back.
I delete it with AVG, it came back after I replug in my pendrive.
3. Bloatware
Already with bad detection rates and the inability to remove viruses, it need to add another bad point into my books, it is a bloatware. For a useless piece of shit, it eats up too much memory and takes too much space.

Having AVG is as good as running through the internet naked (witheout protection). Wait, running naked is better as you are not held down by stupid bloated AVG.

Which would you prefer to fight your viruses and malware which are evolving rapidlly?

To all those AVG die hard fans out there, hope it somehow jolt you to your senses. Dump AVG. If free is the reason you are still sticking to AVG, than there are better alternatives out there like

Can AVG do that? Like duh, it CANNOT. AVG is an elephant.

First, I would like to say this, Mrs Koh ROCKS!!!!! Weird way of starting a post right? This have something to do with the notes she gave...

After the school holidays, she sported a new hair cut. Not only is her hair style new but her attitude have change. I like the new and improve Mrs Koh. Less strict. More friendly. Way to go Mrs Koh!

Enough about my chemistry teacher in school. Speaking about school, I just found out that some teachers know I have a blog. So this means I have to be careful about what I write or else...

Thank goodness for my private blog where I can write what I want there. Come on, give me a break. I am not some big shot until teachers need to know I have a blog. I am just your typical next-door-boy. It is not as if I am Albert Einstein.

School life have been FUN!!!! Laughter almost everyday as everyday is a nice day. I dislike Wednesday the most as on Wednesday, I have double practical.

We are soon entering the unknown. We will go where no men have ever step before.

All in the name of science. Collecting plants to preserve them from extinction.

Ok, I was just exaggerating. It is so easy to collect plants. Just look in your backward and voila instant "unknown" species. lol.

August 3, Kaspersky Trial Resetter v2.3.0.0

Most paid anti-virus like Kaspersky, Eset, Norton and etc in the market offer a trial period for the customer to evaluate their product. After the trial period, if the customers are happy with their product, the customers have the option of buying the full license or switch to another product if they are unhappy with it.

Most anti-virus allow you to install the trial once. Eset store their trial license on their server and Norton and Kaspersky trial is embedded in the registry. This is to ensure that even after uninstalling, you cannot reuse the trial version again. This is even more when you use Windows uninstaller which leave behind registry keys when uninstalling. One way is by locating that particular registry key and deleting that which is very risky. There is a way less dangerous that is by using a trial resetter.

The other day, I stumble upon a tool call Kaspersky Trial Resetter v2.3.0.0 Final by LARRY which claims it is able to reset the trial for all Kaspersky product. I have never use a trial resetter before but I have heard about it.

As you can in the picture, the trial license expires in 5 days.

I am going to run the trial resetter and let us see what happen.

1. Disabling "Self-Defense"

The trial resetter require us to disable the "Self-Defense" as it needs to delete Kaspersky trial key and Kaspersky have a built in Self Defense to prevent malicious programmes from tampering with its protection.

In order for the the trial resetter to work, we need to exit Kaspersky.

Expiration date 24/8/2009 11:59:59 PM (30 days remaining)

30 days remaining. WOW! It actually works!

The other day, while chatting with my friend,

I decided to search for who block me on Windows Live Messenger which is a fraud (at that time I didn't know). When you google, you will come across websites which promise to show you who block you by asking for your password and Windows Live Messenger address. Unknowingly people (like me) would just type out his/her address and password out of curiosity and bingo, spammers would have hijack their account and start sending spam which contain malicious codes to all that person's contact.

Another way is when you click on link from friends who are offline when you are in Windows Live Messenger. The message will usually say check out my picture at (phishing URL". So those friends who appear online and offline, and send you unknown links, their account have been hijack.

I found one link in one blog and Kaspersky showed me this;

Despite the warning, I just I continue by clicking on the link and Kaspersky block it

Just for your info, this kind of websites are fraud. So plase don't visit them. I found out that it was a fraud after reading reviews online.

There are other type of online threats like drive-by-downloads where malicious websites download and install virus and spyware into the visitor's computer without their knowledge but I didn't dare try it out although I know Kaspersky is good (I saw a malware expert guy did review on Kaspersky on YouTube), but I wouldn't take the risk.

Drive-by download in the world of internet is one of the way virus writers infect victim's computer. If the antivirus is no good at all, the victim can easily be infected.

Both Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 protect it users from drive by download.

Last Friday, I manage to find a copy of the movie on the internet.

After 3 hours of downloading it, this is my review on the movie.

Length : ~ 2 hours 30 minutes
Storyline : 3/10
Boring / Interesting : Boring
Quality of acting : 3/10

This movie is just trash.

If you are thinking of going to the cinema for the movie, DON'T. Is not worth your money and time.

I am ok with a long movie if it is nice. Unfortunately,

Long Movie + Boring Storyline + Lots of Omitted Scenes = CRAP MOVIE!

You should take my word as I am a fan of the book and I know the book like the back of my hand.

They are doing injustice to the book by omitting so much from the book and adding unnecessary stuff.

If you were to ask my honest opinion, I will say David Yates is a bad director.

I am very sure the next and final movie, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows will be going down the drain

It is a fact as the 6th book is tightly link to the seven book. By omitting crucial information form the movie, many will be left in the dark.

The people making the movie are more interested in making a quick buck rather than making a quality movie that many will talk for years to come.

I am rather disappointed with this movie. The 6th book was one of my favourite in the series but after watching the movie, I feel deeply disgusted as they turn a fantastic book into junk/crap/rubbish whatever you want to call it!

There is so much one can take.

A mountain no matter how tall or majestic it is, it will eventually crumble into sand or dust even after a million years due to the howling of the wind.

Just in case you are wondering what is that, that are grains of sand up close. Beautiful. Mother Nature is great as she tends to beautify everything all the way to minute objects like grains of sand that we tend to overlook so that we can have a beautiful world to live in.

So what does mountain becoming sand got to do with me?

The mountain and sand was just a metaphor to show that no matter how patience you are, there will be a day where your patience is stretched to the limit.

This is my tolerance level now.

Yes you saw correctly. RED! My tolerance level is rarely red as I could hold my anger and frustration well but not today. Something happen today and for the first time, my tolerance level were tested.

I don't know how long I can withstand the pressure.

I feel like I am hanging on to this miserable rope which can snap anytime.

See how delicate and fragile my current tolerance level is now?

The level is that high due to the fact that I am bottling up pressures from certain individual. By doing so, this will cause the pressure within to increase.

The same principles applies in the eruption of volcano.

And I hope that I will not erupt anytime soon this year as the consequences is disastrous! I will have to continue bottling up and hope I will not explode. Wish me luck.

How nice of it if time and history can just be buried under the sands of time and let all be gone for good?
